Project Mayhem – Bring Me The Horizon

Project Mayhem – Bring Me The Horizon

November 17th, 2010.  A day that will live in infamy.  No bombings of military bases to speak of occurred, however a quite momentous event DID.

Myself, Matty G, and my camera operator Nick travelled back to the holy land of all things Canadian and tightly packed, Toronto, Ontario, for our scheduled interview with Oli and Mick of Bring Me The Horizon.

Picture if you will, 3 men, no jackets, only a sweater between the 3 of them, being molested by pure, unadulterated harbour front wind on quite possibly the coldest day of the year.  There’s only one way to neutralize the cold by raising your internal body temperature.  By now if you aren’t aware of the fact I am an alcoholic, for shame.  It could possibly be the largest defining factor of my life.  More on my “disease” later.

Meeting Oli and Mick was a great experience.  Not only is Bring Me The Horizon one of my favourite metal bands, but they were generally great to talk to and we got along famously.

The show itself was a complete hoot!  August Burns Red, Emarosa, Polar Bear Club, and This Is Hell all came out to show their support for the Alternative Press/Airwalk tour and left no one unsatisfied.

Make sure you check out BMTH’s latest album “There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It, There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret” and their new video for “Visions”.  You would be a trifle foolish if you chose not to.  Salutations.
